Jarrod Brauer
(Principal)
Mr Brauer is an Australian educator who has taught within the SIS Swiss International Schools group for over five years. Since acquiring his teaching qualifications he has also gained extensive teaching and leadership experience within his native Australia and the Middle East.
He initially settled in Basel, Switzerland, where he met his wife, while competing internationally as a professional triathlete. He subsequently began working at SIS Basel from its infancy as a primary school teacher and eventually as a manager.
He is a strong believer in bilingual education and possesses a deep passion for assisting students to become active, lifelong learners. He has recently completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Linguistics which has added to his expertise in language instruction. By summer 2012 he will have finalised a Masters of Education focussing on leading educational institutions and gifted and talented learners.
He has a young family who together enjoy taking advantage of Switzerland’s outdoor pursuits in their free time.
