At SIS Schönenwerd, our Green Team led a remarkable whole-school effort this year, rallying us to unite for a positive environmental cause: World Clean Up Day.
On Friday morning, our youngest Intro students to our eldest primary 6 students, armed with enthusiasm and trash bags, embarked on a mission to demonstrate that small actions yield significant results.
After scouring parks, streets, and the surrounding school grounds, they collected a substantial amount of waste. These young eco-heroes committed to not just clean but also recycle responsibly.
With dedication, they meticulously sorted the trash into categories like plastics, paper, and metals and headed to the local recycling center. Their mission was to ensure each item found its proper destination, where it could be repurposed and given a second chance at life.
