First, we explored the classroom with mirrors, finding mirror images in all sorts of things, like the Lego bricks, numbers and even the handbags in the home corner.
We looked at our faces and even found lines of symmetry in them! Then we folded paper and took our scissors for a walk to cut-out straight and curvy lines in both sides of the paper at the same time.
When we opened up the paper, we found lots of funny and unusual symmetrical shapes. We used our imagination to decide what to turn them into. Some of us saw animals, some of us saw trees, and some of us even saw aliens! When we decorated them, we tried really hard to make sure they were still symmetrical.
