Aaron Nussbaum was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, USA. He received his bachelor's degree in history, and post-graduate degree in education from the University of California, Berkeley. In 1990, Mr Nussbaum moved to Stockholm, Sweden, where he later received his master's degree in international and comparative education at Stockholm University.
Mr Nussbaum has been working at SIS since August, 2015. Before that he worked nine years at the Overseas Family School in Singapore, and prior to that he worked seven years at Stockholm International School, Sweden. Coming from a family of teachers, it seemed a natural progression to enter the education field. Although originally intended as a stepping stone towards other career pursuits, he never left education as he finds working with school communities so rewarding, always new and interesting. Mr Nussbaum's wife, Susan, and daughter, Nicole, are also teachers.
He lives in Adliswil with Susan and their dog, Macky. His hobbies include basketball, chess, and reading.
