Born in Italy, Francesca Sganzerla has lived and studied in different countries since her childhood - Nigeria, Norway, Vietnam, Egypt, USA, Mexico - developing a cosmopolitan attitude that makes her at ease in multicultural environments. She completed her undergraduate degree in physical education at ISEF (Higher Institute of Physical Education) in Italy. Francesca earned a master’s degree in education from the University of Texas at Austin, USA, and further obtained a K-12 physical education teaching license from the USA.
Francesca joined the SIS team in 2013. In Mexico, she taught PE to grades kindergarten through 12th at a local school affiliated with UNAM (National Autonomous University of Mexico). Francesca has been living in Zurich since 2002 with her husband, daughter and son.
As a sport teacher, Francesca aims to bring a positive attitude, enthusiasm and love for physical activity, in order to develop in her students the skills and confidence to enjoy a lifetime of healthful activity.
