Our Septemberbummel destination, the Robinson Playground in Witikon, was so far away from Wollishofen that we had to catch two trams and a bus to get there!
Of course, strolling along woodland paths made us very hungry and it wasn’t long before we stopped for a rest and a snack.
Refreshed and restored, we were back on the trail - walking along the top of the Elephantenbach gorge until we reached the playground.
After a well-earned picnic lunch in the sunshine with our friends, we got down to the serious business of climbing the tower, whizzing down the slide, digging trenches in the sand pit, exploring rope bridges in the forest, galloping on wooden horses and discovering countless other interesting possibilities.
All too soon, it was time to head back to school, taking with us the memories of a wonderful day.
