Spring in Kindergarten 1

Easter, Farms and Fun in the Forest

As the days lengthen, the flowers bloom and the Easter bunny awakens, the kindergarten 1 children have been celebrating spring’s arrival with lots of exciting activities and games. We enjoyed doing many creative things from designing our own Easter eggs and creating our own spring flowers, to having a big Easter egg hunt outside with our kindergarten 2 friends.

Alongside our Easter celebrations, we have been learning about farms in class. Everything from the sounds animals make, to the hard work that the farmers put in to ensure we are able to eat a healthy meal have been discussed in circle time. The children particularly enjoyed extending our discussion on flour and grain by baking their own ‘Schlangenbrot’ on the campfire during our fortnightly forest trips.
