At SIS Pfäffikon-Schwyz distance learning is in full swing. Although students aren't able to physically come to school, they are still meeting daily with their teachers and classmates through the application Zoom.
We are using a mix of online and offline activities to ensure that students are keeping a healthy balance of screentime.
The students from Kindergarten through to Primary 6 are starting their mornings in whole class video conferences to meet with their friends and teachers.
In Secondary the students meet with their class live in the Office 365 classrooms according to their pre-closure schedule. This allows students to get the missing social interactions needed for motivation while also giving the teachers the opportunity to set the activities for the lessons in a live environment.
Throughout the morning, teachers guide their students in their academic lessons through a mix of videos, apps, chats and emails.
After lunch, students are sent instructions for their elective classes like Art, Sport and Music etc. so they can continue to develop their creative sides offiline.
