Every year at SIS Zürich-Wollishofen we look forward to our Sports Day tradition, where we come together as a whole school community to enjoy a friendly competition in a different setting.
Before the event, we create groups of students, mixed together from Kindergarten through Primary 6. The older students do a wonderful job practicing leadership skills and taking care of and motivating their younger teammates. These teams compete at various teacher-led stations, with the overall top three scoring teams receiving medals. The stations range from football, hurdles, and biathlon to sack racing, crab walking, and team skiing. Of course, students enjoy a leisurely lunch along with other breaktimes for relaxing throughout the day.
We were happy to have enjoyed a fun-filled day with sunny weather!
