SIS Pfäffikon is proud of the diversity of the students at our school. Collectively our students come from 30 different countries and therefore inclusion, acceptance, and celebration of different cultures is extremely important to our school community. So what better way to celebrate this than through sharing our universal love of food?
The International Day Festival is always a fantastic way to start the new school year. Students are invited to bring and sell food specifically from their home country. Staff, students and parents work collaboratively to offer a delicious range of food from all over the world. Stalls offered incredible delicacies ranging from sweet Mexico treats, Chinese bao buns and dumplings, British scones with cream and jam, and of course traditional Swiss fondue and raclette. The natural sounds from the Swiss Albhorn show, made the festival feel extra special.
Above all, it was wonderful to see students from kindergarten, all the way through to our new gymnasium, working so hard to create delicious food and celebrate their home countries, all whilst raising money for "Kinderhospiz Schweiz."
