The health and safety of our SIS school community is paramount to us at SIS Männedorf-Zürich. During our teacher preparation week some staff updated their basic first aid. Working with dummies, CPR requirements were met. The life saving instances of heart attacks, strokes and choking along with bleeds, seizures and EpiPens were also addressed.
Grade 2 had a sleepover at school to prepare them for school camp next year. How exciting to experience the school at night!

Over two weeks, students learn about the class rules, expectations and routines of their classrooms and school. Die dritte Klasse behandelt zurzeit das Thema Elektrizität. Bevor die Kinder praktische Experimente ausprobierten, schauten sie lauernde Gefahren von Strom genauer an. Gleichzeitig wurde der Weg des Stroms besprochen und Stromquellen genauer unter die Lupe genommen. Der Fluss der Elektronen wurde mit Hilfe von Batterien sichtbar gemacht.

On 29th and 30th January grades 3-6 welcomed their visiting families into the classrooms. Various topics where available: programming Scratch, measuring gravity, grammar, grid method and dance were just some of the student-led stations where families could experience a mini lesson. The Expo was an enjoyable and successful event for all.
