As a part of our SIS IT curriculum, we teach the children digital technology, programming, media, communication and E-safety.
Within the strand of digital technology, the children are introduced to the devices we use in the classroom, such as interactive books, tablets, and Blue-Bots. For the media and digital technology strands, we use a variety of apps and software which help the children to develop early maths and literacy concepts, and problem-solving skills. For the programming, they learn to give and follow simple instructions. Simple instructional experiences can support the children in developing their understanding of directional language and basic coding algorithms.
Finally, on the strand of communication and E-safety, they learn to save their work under their name to understand their ownership.
