Chess and Coffee Afternoon

On 5 December, families, including siblings and grandparents, joined the school for a Chess and Coffee Afternoon, creating a calm setting for intergenerational play.

The games showed that in chess, where strategy and concentration are central, age is not decisive. Several younger players demonstrated strong tactical skills and defeated adult opponents.

The event highlighted the educational value of chess as an activity that develops critical thinking and decision-making beyond recreational computer use. Due to its success, the Chess and Coffee Afternoon will become a regular event in the school calendar.

Candle Making

On the 12th of December, classes 5 and 6 made a trip to Aarau to make candles. The classes had a wonderful time creating their candles and spending some quality time together before the holidays.
